Once you have chosen a web hosting company to host your domain, you will have to point your domain name to the services of your web hosting provider. This provider would have allocated your newly created hosting account with web space from which your domain name is visible on the internet.
Wait for the welcome email from your hosting provider, who should provide you with information on how to login to your new web hosting account, as well as the name servers to point your domain name to. These will be something like:
ns1.yourhostingcompany.com
ns2.yourhostingcompany.com
The first step is to login to your account with the company where you purchased your domain name. You should notice a section, depending on where you purchased your domain name from, to change or modify your name servers. After finding this area, remove the existing nameservers and enter your nameserver details. Most domain control panels require you to only enter the name server details, and not the I.P. address. This information should take a day or two to propogate over the internet, and you should soon be able to view your web content by typing the name of your domain name in a web browser.
If you have purchased your domain from our network concern Promotion Domain you can either contact us to make the necessary changes or do so yourself directly after you login to your domain control panel.
